Finding the MAC Address on Samsung, LG & Android TV
1 Min. reading time · Updated on October 7, 2026

Some player apps register your device via the MAC address. This is a unique identifier consisting of six pairs of characters, such as A1:B2:C3:D4:E5:F6. Here is how to find it.
Samsung Smart TV
Settings → General (or Support) → About this TV → Network or Network Status. The MAC address for WLAN and, if available, LAN is listed there. Menu names differ slightly depending on the model year.
LG Smart TV
Settings → All Settings → Network → WLAN or Cable Connection → Advanced. The address is listed as “MAC Address”.
Android TV / Google TV
Settings → Network & Internet → select active network → Advanced or Device Information. Alternatively under About → Status.
Amazon Fire TV Stick
Settings → My Fire TV → About → Network.
Apple TV
Settings → General → About. The WLAN and Ethernet addresses are listed there.
Important
- Use the address that belongs to the connection actually used (WLAN or LAN).
- Modern devices sometimes use “private” or random addresses. Deactivate this function for your home network if an app otherwise does not stay registered.
- Instructions per device: Samsung, LG, Fire TV Stick.
