The best IPTV Apps for Android TV and Google TV

Devices with Android TV and Google TV – from Google TV sticks to Android TV boxes – are excellent platforms for IPTV. They are open, flexible, and allow you to install Apps conveniently via Downloader. In this post, we show you which app we recommend and how to set it up in just a few minutes.
German4K Ultra – the top recommendation
On Android TV and Google TV, our own App German4K Ultra (Downloader code 8781950) is the clear recommendation: modern interface, fast switching, program guide (EPG), catch-up for missed broadcasts, and multiview. The access sets itself up automatically when first started, and if a server fails, the app automatically switches to a backup path. The requirement is Android 8 or newer – which every current Google TV and Android TV device fulfills.
German4K Pro – classic and simple
Do you prefer it simple or have an older Android TV box on which Ultra won't start? Then take German4K Pro (Code 3781465): classic interface with Live TV, movies, series, and program guide. Pro is also free and requires no license.

And third-party players like 8K Player, TiviMate or IBO Player?
They generally work, but involve effort: After a trial period, TiviMate Premium and IBO Player require a paid license, and you have to handle the setup yourself. With German4K Ultra, both are eliminated. Anyone who wants to keep their current player can of course do so – our access data works in every App with Xtream Codes login.
How to install the app via Downloader
The setup works almost identically on Android TV and Google TV:
- Install the Downloader app from the Google Play Store
- Activate developer mode (tap the build number multiple times)
- Allow installation from unknown sources for Downloader
- Enter code 8781950 in Downloader and download
- Install, open the app, and log in with your credentials – or send us a photo of the start screen, and we will connect your access directly
If Google Play Protect warns during installation, tap "More information" and then "Install anyway". The App comes directly from us and not from the Play Store, hence the prompt.
Android TV or Google TV – are there differences?
The platforms are closely related: Google TV is essentially a more modern user interface based on Android TV. The installation works practically the same on both. Only the menu paths in the settings look slightly different – our illustrated instructions will guide you safely through both. Tip for stable 4K
Connect your device via LAN cable if possible. Especially with Android TV boxes, a wired connection ensures noticeably more stable 4K than Wi-Fi.
