1. Check Internet Speed

For HD you need at least 10 Mbit/s, for true 4K at least 25 Mbit/s. Perform a speed test directly on the device you are streaming on. If the speed is lower, that is often the cause. Other devices running large downloads in parallel can additionally slow down the line.

2. LAN instead of WLAN – or at least 5 GHz

The most common reason for buffering is an unstable WLAN. If possible, connect your device via LAN cable – this is by far the most stable solution. If that's not possible, be sure to use your router's 5 GHz band instead of the congested 2.4 GHz band and ensure a clear line of sight to the router.

3. Use the Right Player

Not every app runs equally well on every device. 5. Place WLAN Router Optimally

• Position the router as centrally and freely as possible, not in a cupboard
• Keep distance from microwaves and other radio sources
• For large apartments, use a repeater or a mesh system
• Avoid parallel downloads while streaming
